Very few installations can match lead flat roofs for their longevity and curb appeal, especially if the build and the finer details have been carefully designed. At Traditional Leadwork, handily based in Shoreham-by-Sea, we combine the services of roofers, and of a team of leadwork specialists, to complete installations across Sussex.
Individual areas covered by our roofing company include:
Horsham | Lewes | Worthing | East Sussex | West Sussex
We also cover all locations in the South East region.
Traditional Leadwork uses two build types on lead flat roofs, using the correct thicknesses, jointing and movement strategies so as to ensure lasting performance from an installation. All installations come with a guarantee on workmanship and a warranty on materials.
Warm Roofs
Consisting of a sub-deck and sealed vapour control layer, above-deck insulation, a top deck and rolled lead sheets which help to minimise condensation and, if detailed properly, do not require ventilation.
Cold Roofs
Also referred to as vented lead flat roofs, these systems consist of an insulated deck with continuous ventilation voids of 50mm. These roofs have cleared air inlets and outlets with unobstructed paths.
All detailing complies with BS 6915:2001 and A1:2014.
We also excel in work on stepped lead roofs and factor in gutters, drips, outlets, overflows and sumps for full rainwater management.
Finding roofers to work on flat lead roofs won’t always be easy but we fulfil your needs on pitched roofs and flat roofs as a reputable company of leadwork specialists. Lead roofs outlast other systems by decades and they require much less maintenance than slates or tiles.
For services in Horsham, Lewes, Worthing and all surrounding areas, contact us today and leave your needs in the hands of our roofers.
Traditional Leadwork can also use liquid rubber on flat roofs, and we can undertake lead flashing repairs to an exacting standard.
